If you are using a smart phone, then you already know that there are so many, many application out there that you can download from the Google Play Store. In recent years, the Google apps store has exploded, with a proliferation of applications to cater to any need. The problem is that there are simply too many apps.

Even if you are able to filter the results according to Top Free, Top Paid, Featured, Best Selling, and Editor’s Picks, deciding which ones to download is still a difficult task. And this is why we made this list.

This list is general and something that all busy bodies with a smart phone will need to download. This list is mix of paid and free apps and they’ve been chosen by our group of Android experts. If you plan on buying a paid, at least you know it is worth it.

This is a free apps that arrived in 2013, which really makes it latecomer to the party. This app offers a high-five meteorological experience. You can search for long-term forecasts and search for the weather in many different locations in the word.

This is a free Android App that fell exclusively to Nexus devices in the past. However, this can now be downloaded on Android phones running on version 4.1 of the operating system or higher. Install this app and you get that experience of having the app fill an entire Home screen.

This application is another app that lets you manage spam emails. With Mailbox you can manage your Gmail or iCloud account in an SMS-like chat interface. You can swipe away unwanted emails and set up reminders from the app based on your email account.

Shpock

Shpock is the one app that offers you a lot in terms of local listings, not just in the United States but anywhere in the world. You can think of Shpock as eBay and Pinterest in one. It shows you the different bargains in your area. Although it is a relatively new app, you can already find a lot of stuff in there for sale. The app even has its own community.

This app is almost the best for news (national, worldwide.) and in English and in Spanish also.
